Over the past 10 years, I’ve seen Abstractors, Searchers and business owners in the Title Search industry worked to the bone trying to keep up with constant ETA requests, rushed deadlines, and constant client correspondence. With individual orders taking an additional 15-90 minutes each for report typing and search QC, its no surprise that late nights and high amounts of caffeine are a common trend.
My journey began in 2013 as an American living in a town on the edge of the Black Isle in the Scottish Highlands. A Chicago-based Abstractor reached out with an opportunity. He and his wife were swamped and in dire need of someone to pull online docs and type reports for their growing Title Search business. Their multitasking started at 7am – answering client requests while heading downtown to the Recorder’s Office. Home at 5pm for dinner, a nap, then back at it around 9pm to gather all the information and begin churning out orders. It wasn’t healthy!
Within a few months of us working together, they were able to resume a normal schedule. Additionally, thanks to the extra time, his wife was able step away from administrative duties and begin a whole new career.
Each order undergoes a 5-Step Process. Our involvement begins after the search is complete. A list, scratch sheet or summary page of the documents involved is all we need to deliver to you a finished, easy-to-read report. We can use our own template or a client provided run sheet. Any inaccuracies that are found are addressed with a quick Instant Message to ensure a speedy turnaround. We focus on giving you a final product that will please your clients and show them that you’re always available for more orders. And don’t worry, we’ll be ready!
